Well known Pike Angler and future speaker at Cambs PAC Eric Edwards is putting together something very special for young pikers at this years convention.
In Erics words,"Basically juniors get in for free as long as they are with a paying adult and we're laying on something really special for them. Some of the biggest names in piking are giving up their time to help with this and I'm keen that we get a really good turnout. The junior event will be opened by top piker and TV personality Mick Brown and we'll also have presentations from Denis Moules and Gord "Piking Pirate" Burton. Top flycaster David Wolsoncroft-Dodds will be giving hands-on tuition of pike flycasting and there will be three other workshops where the kids can learn all about the pike, make their own lure (which they get to keep of course) and learn how to make traces. All will be done under the watchfull eye of the PAC's fully qualified team of angling coaches, there will be freebies galore and what's more, in conjunction with this the PAC committee have agreed to slash the cost of junior membership to a fraction of what it was.
Cost of junior membership of the PAC has been slashed to just £7.50 for a year and for this they get all the magazines and benefits that the seniors get. What's more, any junior who joins on the day will receive a free pack of pike tackle courtesy of Alan Dudhill of Pikemaster Traces. As well as this all junior attendees will receive a free Rapala lure, a free Rapala hat and the chance to win some great prizes".
Please show your support to Eric and the future of our sport either by taking a young piker along or recomending the day to someone you think would benefit. Well done Eric! Further info on the convention can be found below.
